The Thanksgiving season is often lost among the busy-ness of the end of the year. However, it's a season designed to help us reflect on the blessings we've received throughout the year and celebrate them with friends and family.
For so many all over the world, the year 2020 has been chaotic and sometimes tragic. So it's especially important that we take time remind ourselves of the many ways in which God has demonstrated His goodness to us.
And as ministers, we have the opportunity to help the folks within our ministries and spheres of influence take the time to pause and experience gratitude.
Here are 10 verses about gratitude and thanksgiving that we reflect on in our personal lives and teach about in our ministries...
1 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. - Psalm 100:4
2 I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving. - Psalm 69:30
3 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. - 1 Chronicles 16:34
4 Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
5 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. - Philippians 4:6
