Supplies: Peeps, Toothpicks
This is an object lesson that will work well on its own. However, it would be an amazing way to add an application to the Small Group Peep Tower Challenge.
Scripture: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16
Objective: Kids will learn that God loved and sent Jesus for every PEEP in the world.
For this object lesson, you’ll need to build a small structure out of Peeps and toothpicks. You can do this beforehand, but with some practice you can build this structure while you share.
Check out this Very Helpful Visual© for some visual reinforcement:
You can start this object lesson with a personal story about a time you felt alone or discouraged.
Then you’ll use the Peep Tower to show that God’s love is for everyone in the world. Sometimes we feel like we’re on top of the world (or the highest Peep in a Peep Tower), sometimes we feel weighed down by life (or like a Peep at the bottom of a Peep Tower), and sometimes we feel totally forgotten (or like a Peep at in the side of a Peep Tower that no one can see).
But no matter how we feel, God loves us and demonstrated His love by sending Jesus for everyone in the world.
