Using visual elements as you tell stories is the fastest way to grab the attention of the kids in your Sunday morning service. And as always: bigger is better.
As you begin to tell the story of Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection, line up 6 jumbo-sized Easter eggs on a table or surface (ideally, these eggs should sit perfectly upright so they should either have flat bottoms or you could place them on a pillow or stand.)
Each of these jumbo eggs is holding a key item from the story and you reveal each item-one at a time-as you tell the story.
Here is a potential list of items: 1) bread/wine from the Last Supper, 2) pieces of silver for Judas’ betrayal of Jesus, 3) flowers from the Garden of Gethsemane, 4) handcuffs for Jesus’ arrest, 5) a cross, 6) a rock for Jesus’ grave.
