It's fairly to put together an engaging kids church service. Most of you do that at least once a week. However in my opinion, most kids ministry leaders fail to understand the importance of crafting a good pre-service experience.
We won't get into the ins and outs of the pre-service experience right now, but I don't want to focus on one important element: your music playlist.
Your pre-service playlist has to strike a very delicate balance. It has to be fun and upbeat but it can't be overwhelming. It has to be full of songs that kids will love but also has to feel welcoming to the parents and guardians that are dropping them off.
And during Easter weekend, you might be welcoming a lot of first time families into your ministry and it's important that your environment feels safe, friendly and inviting.
So with all that in mind, I've put together the Perfect Elementary-Age Easter Pre-Service Kids Church Playlist.
Please note: every church has a different license that details what they can or cannot play during their service or live-streaming. Plus, way too many ministry leaders (especially in the kidmin world) use pirated or illegally downloaded song tracks during their service. And while I understand that the size of your ministry budget might prevent you from purchasing as much as you want, please know that there are real musicians and artists that are crafting this music and their livelihood depends on churches using their songs in legally and appropriately.
