Most kids love rewards and they love to participate. And this idea gives them a chance to get a reward and then to take a hands-on approach to building with their reward.
And...it's a very budget-friendly way to add some life and organization into your kids church!
This works best if your kids church kids are separated into teams. Each team will be assigned a color of Peep.
One of each color of Peep will be placed on a surface or table in a prominent location in your kids church environment. That first Peep will serve as the first piece of their Tower of Peeps. (Plus, it's a good way to ensure that each team has at least one "point.")
Throughout your kids church service or experience, the teams will have opportunities to earn Peeps to add to their towers. And for each earned Peep, one student will get a Peep and a toothpick. That student will have the opportunity to make their Tower of Peeps as tall as possible.
Check out this Very Helpful Visual© for some visual reinforcement:
At the end of your kids church experience, the team with either the tallest Tower of Peep or with the most Peeps in their tower will be the winning team.
