✂️ Instructions:
Step 1: Trace Your Hands
Place one hand on the green construction paper. Use a pencil to carefully trace around your fingers and hand. Repeat 3–5 times to make multiple handprints.
(Encourage the kids to do both left and right hands for variation!)
Step 2: Cut Them Out
Using scissors, cut out each of your handprints. These will be your palm leaves!
Step 3: Arrange and Glue
Take a jumbo craft stick and start gluing the handprints near the top, overlapping them slightly to form the shape of a palm branch. Fan them out a bit for a leafy effect.
Step 4: Let It Dry and Wave It High!
Set the craft aside to dry. Once ready, the kids can wave their handmade palm branches while shouting, “Hosanna!”
🪴 Bonus Ideas:
• Write a verse on the stick, like “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” (Matthew 21:9)
• Use them in a mini Palm Sunday parade during worship or closing time!
